Here are the Laws put into simple words!
1. Never outshine the master
Make those above you feel superior by hiding how talented you are. Little do they know, you're actually in control of their image!
2. Don't trust your friends too much, learn to use your enemies
It's much secure to trust a former enemy than a friend. Your enemy is more honest & upfront with you as they don't have to be careful around you.

3. Hide your intentions
When your opponents don't know your plans, they cannot defend themselves. Work in silence instead!
4. Always say less than necessary
When the silence makes your opponents uncomfortable, they will fill in with more information about their true intentions & weaknesses.
5. Mind your reputation
Be alert of ways people can bring your image down. Meanwhile, destroy your opponents by opening holes in their own reputation.

6. Hunt for attention at all costs
That includes gossips too! It's better to be gossiped about than ignored. When there's more noise to your name, people will be curious and interested to know about you.
7. Let others do the work for you, but always take the credit
Your boss is a MASTER in this!
8. Make other people come to you- use bait if necessary
If someone needs to talk to you, let them come to a place that you're at or that you chose! You're familiar with the surrounding, but they are not.
9. Win through your actions, never through argument
It's easy to make people agree with you when you show them, rather than tell them.

10. Infection: Avoid the Unhappy & the Unlucky
No matter what, do not argue or try to help these two categories of people. It will only eat you up.
11. Learn to keep people dependent on you
The more they need & want you, the more control & freedom you have. So, don't teach someone too much.
12. Use honesty & generosity selectively
Distract your opponents with an honest or generous gesture. Learn to give before you take. However, be careful with what you share.
13. When asking for help, appeal to the self-interests of others. Never to their mercy or gratitude
Include a benefit that your opponent cannot turn down. They will be willing to help you if it's for their self-interest.

14. Pose as a friend, work as a spy
Ask your rival indirect questions as a friend. Or, get someone to spy for you if you think it's better.
15. Crush your enemy totally
If you do things partially, your enemies will recover & look for revenge one day. So, it's better to remove every possibility for that.
16. Use absence to add respect & honor
When you're always present, you will seem too common. Withdraw yourself at the right time. People will notice (and be disappointed) whenever you're gone.

17. Keep others under suspense
Try to act unpredictably. Your opponents will get tired of figuring out your next move.
18. Don't build a fortress to protect yourself, isolation is dangerous
Isolation means cutting yourself off from valuable information. Mingle with people, as you are better protected in a crowd.
19. Know who you're dealing with- don't offend the wrong person
Pick your battles! Make sure to know everything about your opponent & decide if you're fighting against someone you could actually win.
20. Don't commit to anyone
Only commit to yourself. Maintain your independence to appear untouchable. Stay away from other people's fights. Show interest but from a distance.

21. Play a sucker to catch a sucker- appear dumber than your mark
Nobody likes to feel stupid. Make your opponents feel smarter than you. They would not realize your ulterior motives.
22. Use the surrender tactic: Transform weakness into power
Whenever you're almost getting defeated, give up. Take the time to plot your revenge instead. And, attack your opponent again when they are occupied with their 'victory'.
23. Concentrate your forces
Find a source of power that will sustain you for a long time. One rich source is way better than many shallow sources.

24. Play the perfect courtier
Call it sucking up but flattery is key to winning here. Charm your superiors by being self-observant, mastering your emotions, avoid being the one to break bad news etc.
