US President Donald Trump said on Sunday (May 3) that the country will have a vaccine for the coronavirus by the end of 2020, according to China Press.

“We think we are going to have a vaccine by the end of this year,” he said during a two-hour interview with Fox News.

The Hill reports that an 【Operation Warp Speed】 aiming to “speed up vaccine development by several months and have 300 million doses of a vaccine available by January” has had Trump’s administration “pushing agencies to speed up the vaccine development process.”

“I think we’re going to have a vaccine much sooner than later,” said Trump.
