What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into a priceless cultural-exchange moment when a Japanese woman discovered that Malaysians don't actually pronounce anime titles in Japanese.
The realisation hit her so hard that she quite literally short-circuited on the spot – eyes widened, brain buffering, and a full moment of "Wait... you guys don't??"
Her reaction was so pure and bewildered that it had everyone, including Malaysians online, laughing nonstop.
For us, it's perfectly normal to say Naruto, One Piece, or Jujutsu Kaisen in our typical Malaysian accent... but to her, hearing those names outside their original Japanese pronunciation was a full-on culture shock.
The clip has since gone viral, with many Malaysians joking that our "rojak pronunciation" should be considered its own unique language.
