I have always had a love hate relationship with mouthwash. It because some days when I use it, my mouth feels fresh and I feel awake, but some days it just burns my tongue and mouth making me feel a lot of pain. I’m sure many of you can relate.

Up until recently, many of us only saw mouthwash as a way to boost our overall dental health but mouth wash can actually be used for other things too.

Here are some unusual ways you can use mouthwash:

If you are suffering with cracked dry heels that make your feet rough, then mouthwash can actually help smooth your feet. Pour equal parts of mouthwash and water into a pail and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes.

The mouthwash gently exfoliates your skin, treating the cracked heel and making your feet smoother.

2. Deodorant

Since mouthwash helps to fight odour causing bacteria in your mouth, it can do the same for your pits!

Apply some mouthwash to your underarms using a piece of tissue and tadaa it works exactly like deodorant. It keeps you pits smelling fresh throughout the day.

Most mouthwash contains antiseptics. This will help to get rid of dandruff, dry or itchy scalp effectively.

After shampooing your hair, section your hair and use a cotton pad to apply some mouthwash on your scalp. Leave it in for around 10 minutes then wash it off with water. Repeat a few times a week to see improvements.
