An international food site, the same one that once ranked Nasi Lemak as a below-average food, has once again summoned the wrath of Malaysians when it placed Malaysia in the 46th position out of 50 World's Best Cuisines for the month of June 2022.

The list not only sparked a heated debate on the credibility of the ranking system but many, especially those from South East Asian countries expressed that SEA food scenes deserve a higher spot on the list due to the richness of differences in culture, heritage influences, and overall flavors of their cuisines.
