Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim addressed those unhappy with the state's weekend change, suggesting they move to states like Kedah, Kelantan, or Terengganu, which still observe Friday-Saturday weekends.

Johor will switch to Saturday-Sunday weekends starting 1 January 2025 to help boost the economy.
