Based on a viral street interview, girls are against dating men from Kelantan, and we’re wondering why.
The interviewer’s question was ‘A guy from which state in the country, won’t you date?’
Surprisingly, a many answers were Kelantan. Some said it was language, others said it was distance, but there were few whose responses were blurred out…
The interview started a rather heated debate on Twitter, with many men stating their case.
Many replied, "We don't want you women either!"
One user said, "Even Kelantanese people don't want to marry outside the state. We marry each other and then go off to develop other states together."
Another commented, "This anti-Kelantan sentiment comes from influencers and political narratives that paint East Coast people as terrible. If distance is the issue, Perlis and Johor are far too, and going home during festive seasons always means heavy traffic. But ultimately, everyone has their own choices when it comes to relationships."
