Based on a viral TikTok by a teacher from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Saujana Utama in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, it appears that school canteens these days are so much more bougee than when we were back in school!
In the TikTok, the teacher explains that the canteen at the school serves different types of cuisines to students to cater to students' tastes.
For those craving Western food, there is a station that offers mushroom soup with garlic bread, macaroni and kebabs. Then, there is another station which serves Korean chicken, buttermilk chicken and various fruits.
There is also a Malay food station for those who want Malay cuisine. White rice, mamak fried chicken, ulam and sambal belacan is available there.
The stations also have staff members who serve the food and the prices are rather affordable.
Things sure have changed with the times! (cries in jealous)
