Malaysia is among the countries selected by the World Health Organization (WHO) to try out a new medicine "Remdesivir" that could be the cure for COVID-19. The test will take place at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
According to the Health DG Dr. Noor Hisham, Malaysia was chosen mainly because of its capability to conduct research at a high level. "Aside from the fact that there are COVID-19 patients in Malaysia, more importantly, we have well-trained researchers," he said.
