A seemingly ordinary property listing for a condominium rental in Selangor, recently stirred a wave of curiosity & chills among viewers.
Among a set of 20 images showcasing the three-storey unit, one photo in particular caught attention: a shadowy figure, seated on a staircase, appearing eerily out of place in the partially furnished interior.
The listing, which went up on Sept 9. 2024, features a 3,595 sq ft apartment with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, available for RM2,900 per month.
Marketed as part of a resort-style duplex, the property was otherwise unremarkable until the mysterious image began circulating.
The image quickly spread on social media, with users questioning its authenticity. Some verified the listing and found the photo to be genuine.
While a few speculated it could be a publicity stunt, others noted that agents typically review photos, making it unlikely such an image would go unnoticed.
Sin Chew Daily reported that a curious viewer contacted the agent about the listing and learned that the shadowy figure unintentionally captured on the stairs.
The viewer suggested removing the photo to avoid misinterpretations, and the agent complied, taking it down to prevent confusion among potential renters.
