I’m not saying that what they did was right, but if you want to splash paint on someone’s car maybe make sure it is the right car first or better yet, maybe don't splash paint on people's car.

Four vehicles of residents at Taman Tampoi Indah 2, Tampoi, Skudai, Johor were splashed with paint by unknown individuals early this morning.

Nazaruddin Bijan, 48, said his Perodua Aruz multi -purpose vehicle (MPV) was also targeted by the irresponsible party.

"My family and I live in a shop house building nearby. I became aware of the incident at 3.15am after waking up when the child was crying.

“I then surveyed the situation outside the house before finding my Perodua Aruz splashed with yellow paint.

"Besides that, three neighboring vehicles, including a four-wheel drive, were also splashed with paint," he said when contacted.

Nazaruddin said he also found an abandoned note that recorded the names and addresses of certain individuals he did not know.

According to him, the note said, 'owe money, pay money'.

"Also noted on the note is a telephone number that can be contacted to discuss payment matters.

"I hope the police can arrest the individuals involved in this paint splashing case," he said.

According to him, he lost RM800 to RM1,000 because he had to clean of the paint splashes on his Perodua Aruz.

Nazaruddin said the incident happened for the first time since he lived in the residential area six years ago.

"Indeed, many residents park their vehicles and motorcycles in the parking lot at night until morning.

"I hope the frequency of patrols by the police in this area can be increased," he said.

Nazaruddin lodged a report on the incident at the Tampoi Police Station.

Meanwhile, Johor Bahru Utara District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Rupiah Abd Wahid confirmed receiving a police report related to the incident.

"The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code," he said when contacted.
