This is NOT a drill! Malaysia will finally be reopening its international borders for the first time since the pandemic on the 1st March 2020, as announced by prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The National Recovery Council (NRC) has held a meeting earlier today (8th February) to discuss the possibility of opening the nation's border as early as next month.
"The council agreed that the country's borders could be fully opened as early as March 1, 2022, without the need for mandatory quarantine," Muhyiddin said. "The reopening of the country's borders must be done in a planned manner and according to current risk assessments."
