Based on reports, many children have since contracted Covid-19, and even passed on due to the virus, as well as from the multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), which occurs after contracting the virus.

According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, the complications of MIS-C involves various internal organs, namely the heart, lungs, brain and kidneys.

These symptoms usually occur 2 to 6 weeks after children have been infected with Covid-19, and parents have been advised to seek immediate medical treatment, should their child start displaying MIS-C symptoms.

MIS-C symptoms are:

1. Fever

2. Red eyes

3. Rashes

4. Vomiting

5. Stomach pain

6. Diarrhea

Hospital admissions, positive cases among children as well as children with MIS-C have been on the rise as of late, and the main cause of that is them not getting vaccinated.

"In this Omicron wave, we are worried about those who have not been vaccinated, especially the elderly and children. Let's prevent your children from suffering the complications of Covid-19. Get your children vaccinated and do not wait anymore,"- KJ

That being said, should your child exhibit any signs of MIS-C, do what you must and take them to a doctor immediately.
