ICYMI: Black Mirror Season 6 Episode Titles Hint At A Frightening Adventure

Two decades after organizing a feathery union and flying the coop, the heroes of Chicken Run are making a triumphant comeback. The stop-motion classic's long-awaited sequel, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, will hit Netflix on December 15, 2023. In a brief clip announcing the release date, we catch a glimpse of Ginger (Thandiwe Newton) and Rocky (Zachary Levi) as they welcome a new little adventurer into their lives.

Chicken Run made history in 2000 as the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, and to date, it has yet to be bested. The follow-up will revisit the original cast of characters plus a flock of old and new friends, including The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey as they face an all-new threat to chickenkind. This time, they're breaking in.

And Dawn of the Nugget isn't the only Aardman Animations film hatching on Netflix soon. A new Wallace and Gromit special is also officially in the works, set to premiere within the next few years. Aardman mastermind Nick Park, who introduced audiences to Wallace and Gromit with A Grand Day Out in 1989, will return to direct the untitled project.
