UMNO President Asking People For Money On Telegram & WhatsApp? Here's What's Really Going On:

PETALING JAYA- Telegram and Whatsapp app account belonging to UMNO President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was reportedly hacked by irresponsible parties who are currently sending people messages asking for money.

Through Ahmad Zahid's post on his official Twitter and Facebook just now, the former Deputy Prime Minister is  trying to get his accounts back.

"My Telegram and Whatsapp accounts have been hacked. To friends and acquaintances who receive unrelated messages please ignore."


"I'm in the process of getting my account back," he said earlier.


Based on the screenshot shared by Ahmad Zahid, the hacker allegedly used the account to solicit money from the Telegram and Whatsapp contact list of the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk.

The hacker reportedly asked for RM5,000 and promised to pay it back in the afternoon.


The money had to be put into a Maybank account belonging to a man named Zainal Abidin.
