1,169 COVID-19 deaths within 24 hours on Apr 3 in US

The United States recorded 1,169 death due to Coronavirus within 24 hours on Apr 3. This by far the highest single-day death toll recorded in any country since the virus outbreak.
The country now has a total of 5,926 death cases related to Coronavirus, with New York City as the epicenter, recording more than 1,500 deaths and nearing 50,000 positive cases.
