Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, the political secretary to the Finance Minister filed a police report against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday after he claimed that he was the target of a prosecution scheme utilising the authorities to further the finance minister's political objectives.
The report was lodged after it was determined that Muhyiddin's statement was derogatory and would harm the reputation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's administration.
He stated that, according to Anwar's assertions, the prime minister had promised that, as leader of the current administration, he would not interfere with any official inquiries or decision making.
