It was reported that the first prize winner of the Big Sweep lottery in the 2/23 draw on January 29, 2023, recently appeared to collect his RM3 million prize money.

He attributed his luck to his wife, who had suggested he buy a ticket.

According to a statement from Big Sweep, the winner, Mr. Cheng (pseudonym) from Klang, Selangor, had been buying four-digit lottery tickets for a long time, usually betting on his lucky number.

However, on the day of the draw, the number he wanted to buy was sold out. His wife noticed that a nearby lottery outlet was selling Big Sweep tickets and suggested he try his luck with one.

To their surprise, the ticket he bought won the first prize in the draw.

Cheng exclaimed that he owes his success to his wife's suggestion, saying, "I guess listening to my wife really pays off!"

He added that he plans to hand over all the prize money to his wife to manage or use it to pave the way for his children's future.

Congratulations to the lucky winner, and guess what, this shows how we should all listen to our wives!
