Nowadays, many businesses begin to have a stronger sense of environmental protection. They have started to stop the use of plastic in their business operation.
In Malaysia, plastic straws are gradually being discarded, and merchants have begun to introduce iron straws, paper straws and so on. Starbucks, an internationally renowned coffee brand, is also on the list. It has launched its own environmental-friendly straw to contribute to the environmental protection of the planet!
Starbucks in Malaysia has started selling silicone straws. The material used is soft and it does not release any dangerous ingredients when it is used to drink hot beverages. This environmental-friendly straw is currently priced at RM12. Many people have switched to Starbucks' environmental-friendly straws because they are more portable than ordinary iron straws. A small brush (for cleaning purposes) is also included when purchasing this straw.
Thailand's Starbucks also launched its own environmental-friendly straws. The environmental-friendly straw introduced in Thailand is more stylish and compact. It also uses Starbucks' signature dark green, which is very beautiful and practical. Many local netizens have said that the Thai version of the design is much better than the Malaysian version. This environmentally-friendly straw is currently priced at 250 THB (about RM33).
Regardless of the Malaysian version or the Thai version, hopefully, everyone can contribute to global environmental protection and reduce the use of plastic products!
