Yesterday, Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim's scheduled visit to a Ramadhan Bazaar in Perlis took an unexpected turn when he was approached by a Mak Cik eager to discuss the challenges posed by rising living expenses.


As Anwar mingled with the lively crowd, the Mak Cik caught his attention near his car.

"Things are expensive. You need to carefully look into it!"  the Mak Cik earnestly reminded Anwar, echoing sentiments shared by many Malaysians.


Anwar, in acknowledgment of the concerns raised, responded with a smile and a nod.

In their short chat, the Mak Cik noticed more people than usual at the Ramadhan Bazaar, saying it was because Anwar was there. Anwar jokingly considered coming daily, which made the crowd laugh.


Before bidding farewell, the Mak Cik expressed her gratitude to Anwar with a heartfelt message, saying, "I love you! Bye!"
