Popular influencer, Mek Yun, recently had a distressing encounter with her mother while strolling at SOGO. According to Mek Yun, they had entered three different shops in the shopping center, but an unfamiliar man, believed to be a foreigner, kept tailing them. 

"He pretended to browse the items, but in reality, he was following us," she explained.

Mek Yun captured footage of the man on her TikTok and she even mentioned how the man attempted to approach them and hovered around the mother-daughter duo. 

Feeling uneasy about being followed, Mek Yun shared that she tried to confront the man, but he quickly backed off upon realizing he was being recorded.

Her mother was prepared to report the incident to security and kept an eye on the man's reactions. Mek Yun also advised fellow women to be cautious if such situations occur. 

"If this happens to you, enter a nearby store and report it to the staff or security guards. Avoid walking alone, especially in parking areas," she emphasized. 

Notably, this wasn't the first time such an incident happened to her. Mek Yun mentioned that it was the second time she and her mother experienced being followed while strolling, and it was her fifth time being followed when alone. 

"Before the creepy guy ran away, he dared to come close when Mek Yun was about to confront him, and my mom was going to call the security guard. But as soon as he saw Mek Yun recording his face, he quickly turned and walked away!" she added.

Many netizens shared similar experiences and offered words of caution to Mek Yun. Nowadays, even crowded public places can pose potential threats.
