You met a cool woman, you liked her, and you finally asked her out. It is exciting, but risky at the same time. You want to show her your best self and give her a great night, without seeming to be over pushy.

Here are some tips on what to DO and what NOT to do on a first date with her. Keep track of all these and have a fancy first date memory!

1. DO watch yourself

Be as energetic and excited as you are, but be sure to control your ‘movements’ and facial expression when talking. Too many hand gestures, especially when they are exaggerated, make you look frivolous.

2. DO ask fun questions

A foolproof way to ensure the conversation flowing is to ask fun questions instead of serious ones. Keep them casual. Try to avoid to look like all you care about is her family background and job. If you are a ‘quiet person’, try to ask open-ended questions.

Talk about new movies, restaurants or her hobbies, goals, and dreams. But if you think you cannot manage one, let her drive the conversation.

3. DO listen and reply

Achieve a balance between talking and listening. Ensure that there is a ‘give’ and ‘take’ on both parties instead of letting one person do all the talking. The conversation will only go on if the two of you enjoyed it.

4. DON'T talk too fast or interrupt her

It is your first date, after all. You can’t expect her to get you as your friends did. Talk slowly and clearly, make sure she understands what you say. You will seem more attractive that way too.
