A couple in India decided to name their newborn twins Corona and Covid after giving birth to the babies on March 27. According to The Star, the couple said on a telephone interview that the names would "remind them of the hardships they encountered before the successful delivery of the babies at the hospital" as they could not get help from their family members because of the lockdown.
However, they did receive pressure from family elders, which could lead them to rename their children later.
