It is heartbreaking that the Health Director-General, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah posted on his Facebook that yesterday (March 24) had increased 1 COVID-19 death case, thus making the death toll in Malaysia rises to 16 cases.
Dr. Noor Hisham disclosed in his posting that the new death was case number 1334. The victim was a 75-year-old man who had a medical history of chronic disease.
The deceased started to show symptoms 5 days before admitting to Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan on March 16. He was then transferred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur on March 18. His health began to deteriorate and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on March 21.
The victim was pronounced dead on March 24 while his source of infection is still under investigation.
