Having Trouble Memorizing Info? Here's How You Can Boost Your Memory

09-Jun-2021

Not everyone is blessed with a photographic memory. When it comes to memorizing a bulk of information, we often search for ways to optimize our brain's capacity because truth be told, nobody likes to be forgetful! Whether it's studying for a crucial exam or just remembering necessary information in your daily life, your memorization skills can be enhanced.

Here are 3 ways to boost your memory:

1. Write it down or even draw a mind map

Most people work best with visual aid. If you're having a hard time trying to remember something, consider writing down the points for reference. Even better, create a colorful mind map or draw the keywords in symbols that you can easily relate to.

2. Read (or sing it) over and over again

Once you've written or drawn the points, don't be hesitant to read them repeatedly until you've successfully memorized the info needed. By doing this, you'll even enhance your listening skills!

3. Ask someone to test you

Ask a family member or friend to test your memory by asking questions related to the points. This way, you can actively recall the points or identify the areas you're struggling with.

Writing is a form of escapism. A picture may convey a thousand words, but it only takes ONE story to captivate all.
