Woman Travels To Egypt To Get Lasik Surgery For Only RM700, 8 Times Less Than in Malaysia!

If you're a glasses-wearing person then you know that there are days when you wish you could see without it! IT is tiring and it is constantly falling down your nose and you have to push it up over and over again! Ugh, annoying!

You could always use contact lenses but having to remove them and put them back on continuously can be pretty tiring too, and not to mention the contact dry eyes!

So, I'm pretty sure every one of you glasses-wearing people has thought about getting laser eye surgery at least 3 times a day. Unfortunately, the only reason why we haven't gone and gotten it done is that it costs at least RM6,000 for one eye!

However, imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon a TikTok video about a Malaysian woman who got her Lasik surgery for only RM700 in Egypt. Here's the video:

@blackybeasty Bestnya dah tak rabun and boleh nampak dunia! I pakai spect dari darjah 1 sanggup fly to Egypt for lasik surgery sebab kat sana rm700 je meanwhile Malaysia per eye 6k #lasiksurgery #lasikeyesurgery #fyp #tiktokmalaysia #fypdongggggggg #rabun #fypgakni #lasikmata Somewhere Only We Know - s

She was willing to travel all the way to Egypt to get cheap Lasik?! Well, it was only RM700 for both eyes so maybe it was worth it!

Even so, I was wondering if you include the flight ticket prices, would it cost more or less than RM6000? Well, in a second video, she shared how much the flight tickets were and they were only RM2950 for return tickets with Saudi Arabia Airlines with 1 transit from Jeddah to Cairo.

She even share that she received her treatment at Emad Fayek Clinic, Alexandria. There were 2 eye checkups, the first to check if your short-sightedness is suitable to get Lasik and the second to make sure it is effective for our eyes.

According to the video, she did smile Lasik because it was fast healing and both eyes cost 2750 LE (RM644.69) and 125 LE (RM25.30) for the 1st appointment checkup.

She even recorded the process of her surgery and explained how she felt scared but it wasn't painful just uncomfortable. Here's the video documenting her Lasik surgery in Egypt:

@blackybeasty Reply to @nocturnaliens RM700 lasik in Egypt! You can drop your question here if you have any!! + tengah open trip to Egypt for lasik surgery incase anyone interested #lasiksurgery #lasikeyesurgery #fyp #tiktokmalaysia #fypdongggggggg #lasikmata #fypシ original sound - B

So, what do you think? Would you travel all the way to Egypt just so that you won't have to wear glasses ever again? I think I'll be booking my flight immediately! Share your opinions in the comments section!
