It has been reported by China Press today (March 28) that, a Malay girl from Alor Setar was arrested on March 27 for scolding police on social media.

This 20-year-old girl expressed her hatred towards police on social media. Not only she pointed out that police are not god or angel, she even cursed all policemen to be infected with Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Pendang District Police Chief, DSP Arriz Sham Hamezah mentioned that the offender was furious that she was blocked on the roadblock and was sent home due to the Movement Control Order (MCO). Hence, she turned to social media to express her anger.
Arriz too disclosed that they received the report and had arrested the offender last night (March 27) at 11.30 pm. And that this case will be investigated under Article 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
