Imagine feeling excruciating pain from swallowing your own saliva, or having to endure persistent coughing for 14 DAYS straight. Well, that's what happened to Dr. Mike Hansen after he contracted an Omicron sub-variant. 

On his YouTube channel, the critical care and pulmonary medicine specialist recalled how he had first contracted the virus following a concert. His symptoms included fatigue, fever, sore throat, nasal congestion and even coughing.

As recalled by Hansen, doing something minor such as swallowing saliva became painful due to his sore throat. Eating and drinking, however, didn't have such an effect. 

Save for a minor fatigue, it took TWO WEEKS for Hansen to finally recover. Despite the symptoms, he noted that all were in fact mild and didn't require hospitalisation or medication.
