However, despite all the efforts that are being implemented, there are still individuals out there who still look a them differently which is the root of discrimination.
Recently, a Twitter user with the handle @hairul1992 shared his experience applying for a job at one of the famous local coffee shops, ZUS Coffee.
Unfortunately for him, it was a very unpleasant experience and it left him questioning if it was a sin to be differently abled.
According to the tweet, it is understood that @hairul1992 applied for a job at ZUS Coffee and the conversation which happened over text started off find but it took it turn after he disclosed that he was deaf.
After sharing the information about his disability to the staff, the staff proceeded to ignore his messages and after he texted again, she replied saying that the application was closed.
As excepted, netizens are not happy about what had happened. They said that such incidents should not happen because the differently abled are also human beings like us. Some netizens were of the opinion that what happened was not discrimination but merely the lack of experience in handling job applications from the differently abled.
