As a Malaysian, you might have aware of the anxiety within our society caused by the unstable political condition. Our country has been hit by a political crisis and we are now going through a challenging time.
On 26th February 2020, the Malaysian parliament has been dismissed. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has appointed Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad to act as interim Prime Minister.
There are concerns that an election might be organized in the near future. You are eligible to vote if you are a Malaysian citizen who is at least 21 years old and have never been barred or disqualified by any laws in force.
If you have yet to register as a voter, you can do it now through the MySPR Daftar portal. This online portal was first introduced by the Election Commission (EC) in July 2019.
Just follow the following two simple steps to register as a voter online.
1. Click here to access the website
2. Submit the required details such as your full name, address (as in your MyKad), a valid mobile phone number, a valid email address, front image of your MyKad and a selfie with your MyKad.
After several days of processing and if your application is successful, you will receive an activation email from the EC along with a TAC verification. You can log in the website again to update other information such as details of a witness.
If you have any problems while registering, you can reach out to the EC office and they will call you back.
Voting is your right. Let's exercise your right now!
