With the mooncake festival approaching, many hotels have started introducing their mooncake packages as they would every year. For these brands, the point isn't so much in the mooncake themselves, but the packaging. Every year, these hotels seem to compete with one another to see who can create the most elegant and beautiful mooncake boxes. Let's have a look at what they came up with this year:
The Grand Hyatt have taken inspiration from one of the most popular shows on Netflix late last year and early this year - "The Queen's Gambit". This can be seen not just from the design of the mooncake but also from the name. "The Grand Gambit" comes in blue or red and include 4 pieces of traditional mooncakes or snow skin mooncakes. In case you were wondering, yes, the chess pieces are included!

St. Regis has teamed up with THE Swarovski for this year's entry. The mooncake packaging, known as trunks, are inspired by Astor's love for travel. Faux-leather and rose gold studs make them feel like actual luggages that rich people used to have back in the days. The limited edition super mooncake trunk even has Swarovski crystals!
