A first-time collaboration between The Pokémon Company and the LEGO Group is coming, bringing two beloved worlds together brick by brick. The partnership was officially announced on Tuesday (March 18) on both the official LEGO and Pokémon websites. An official trailer was released on Pokémon's official YouTube page as well:
The trailer showed a LEGO version of Pikachu's tail being built, piece by piece, before it unleashed a Thunderbolt, lighting up the LEGO and Pokémon signs in the background. Sparks flew as Pikachu dashed off.
A press release was also published on the official Pokémon website. According to the release, the new partnership aims to bring the world of Pokémon to life in entirely new ways, specifically through the use of LEGO bricks.
