Civil Servants To Have Their Paycheck Reduced Up To 50% In Contribution To Covid-19 Fund

As announced by the Government Chief Secretary Mohd Zuki Ali, up to 800,000 civil servants will get a pay cut in contribution to the Disaster Trust Account. This movement is in solidarity with civil workers affected during the total lockdown or MCO 3.0, and will come into effect for a duration of three months.



An estimated 30 Million will be collected from this paycheck deduction, frontliners and those in Grade 1 to Grade 28 excluded. Those affected are shown below:

In Muhyiddin Yassin's Pemerkasa Plus Stimulus Package announcement yesterday, all MPs and deputy ministers including himself will be contributing their 3-month salary towards the fund as well. 


A circular letter and details of the implementation of these contributions will be issued soon.
