GIVEAWAY | I Used Samsung Galaxy A33 5G For A Week, Here's The Verdict:

Thinking of buying a new phone? Well, the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G might just be the one for you. I tried it for a week and here are my honest thoughts about it.

Before we get into the review let me explain how I used it. I used it for 7 days with and without a sim card and tested it with my normal usage like social media, phone calls and games.

So let's start getting into the technical details of the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G:

· Design and colours

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, comes in 4 awesome colours, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Peach. I tested the Awesome Peach coloured phone with a matching shiny metallic pink frame. I like the colour, it is very soft and friendly and it definitely stands out!

Although the back panel is made of plastic, the matte finish gives it an expensive look and since it has a matte finish it doesn't collect fingerprints or hairline scratches as easily. The plastic back panel doesn't really matter since most of us use covers to protect our phones plus, since it is made of plastic it is definitely lighter. The plastic matte finish also actually gives it a little texture which provides a better grip. So, if you're using it naked it won't easily slide out of your hands, even if it does, the Gorilla Glass 5 display will definitely withstand the fall.

Main Highlights:

- Measurements: 159.7 x 74 x 8.1 mm

- Weight 186g with Gorilla Glass

- Dual Sim With Nano Sim slot

- Rated IP67 for water and dust resistance

· Display

It has a bright and vivid display plus, with its 1080 x 2400 pixels, you won't be able to notice any pixelation even with close examination. The 6.4-inch Infinity-U Display definitely enhances your binge sessions in bed and since I love playing PUBG, the wider screen has more space for me to move my fingers so I don't accidentally end up touching the firing button and draw attention to myself in the game.

The FHD+ Super AMOLED display technology lets you watch your movies and play your games in vivid high-definition and true-to-life colour. I watched the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the details and colours in the trailer really popped and caught my attention. The display quality definitely mesmerised me! If I wanted to I could count all of Dr Stranges beard hair, that's how good the 90Hz super-smooth display was!

Main Highlights:

- FHD+ Super AMOLED display technology

- 90Hz super-smooth display

- 6.4-inch screen with Infinity-U display

- Resolution : 1080 x 2400 pixels

· Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G has a multi-lens camera and it is even equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for clearer shots, an Ultra Wide camera for wider photos and videos, a Depth Camera to customize focus and a Macro Camera for a more detailed shot!

When it comes to the camera it is best to show you rather than tell you, so here are some of the shots I took while visiting my hometown.

Main Highlights:

- Main camera: 84MP

- Ultra Wide Camera: 8MP

- Depth Camera: 2MP

- Macro Camera: 5 MP

- Front Camera: 13 MP

· Performance

Personally, when talking about a phone's performance I don't like hearing about all the technical stuff because most of it will just brush by me. The simpler way to explain a phone's performance is by talking about how it feels during everyday use.

When playing a game like PUBG, the animations definitely felt as good as playing it on a game console. I could see each blade of grass as I lay in it waiting for the enemy to approach me. The colours and animation on the game were clear and vivid plus as I mentioned below, there weren't any signs of pixelation.

On the 5th day, I tested the battery. With normal usages like scrolling through social media, using WhatsApp throughout the day, answering less than 10 calls and a few gaming sessions, the battery went from 100% at 11:30 am to 53% at 11:30 pm. So it really depends on how much you will use it. I personally am a medium user but if you're a heavy user then it will probably drain more battery.

The Verdict: Worth  The Price

If you are looking for a phone that won't break the bank and will work just as well as any other phone, then the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is definitely the one for you!
