Taeil has been accused of a sexual offense and will be leaving NCT permanently. 

In a statement released by SM Entertainment via X, they have also confirmed Taeil's involvement in a police investigation related to sexual offences, thus his departure. 

The statement reads:

"This is SM Entertainment.

We have recently learned that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to a sexual offense.

As we were assessing the facts related to the matter, we recognized the severity of the situation and determined that Taeil can no longer continue his activities with the team (NCT). After discussing with Taeil, we have decided on his departure from the group.

Taeil is currently cooperating fully with the police investigation. We will provide further statements as the investigation progresses.

We deeply apologize for the concern and distress caused by our artist."

As of now, there are no further reports or news on the severity of the investigation and case. 

Moon Taeil is part of the famous K-pop boy group, NCT 127. Just recently, celebrating their 8th year anniversary together, this news have most definitely left fans heartbroken.
