There is a list of places from all around the world that you're not allowed to visit, forbidden even, and here they are.
1. North Sentinel Island, India
The island is home to the Sentinelese, one of the last uncontacted tribes in the world.
The Indian government has banned all travel to the island to protect the tribe from outside diseases and to respect their desire for isolation.
Attempts to visit have resulted in hostile responses from the tribe and even fatalities.
2. Area 51, United States
A highly classified U.S. Air Force facility in Nevada, Area 51 is off-limits to the public.
It's used for testing experimental aircraft and weapons. Trespassing is illegal and can result in arrest or worse, as the area is heavily guarded.
The conspiracies for alien sightings and the paranormal have often been associated with Area 51.
3. Snake Island (Ilha da Queimada Grande), Brazil
This island is densely populated with one of the world's deadliest snakes, the golden lancehead viper.
The Brazilian government has banned public access to protect both people and the endangered species.
4. Surtsey Island, Iceland
Formed by a volcanic eruption in 1963, Surtsey is a protected site for scientific research.
Only a few scientists are allowed to visit to study ecological succession without human interference.
5. Mezhgorye, Russia
This closed town in the Ural Mountains is believed to be associated with secret military operations or a nuclear facility.
Entry is restricted to those with special clearance from the Russian government.
6. Vatican Secret Archives, Vatican City
Despite the name, the Vatican Secret Archives are not entirely secret but it is restricted.
Only qualified scholars with specific research purposes can request access to certain documents, and even then, only a limited portion of the archives is available for consumption.
