This Insect Can Slow Down Their Aging & Scientists Think Maybe Humans Could Be Next!

Based on research, the jewel wasps have been discovered to be able to slow down their biological aging by something called diapause.

This process is triggered by cold and darkness during their larval stage, extending their lifespan by over 33%. As a matter of fact, wasps that go through this age 29% more slowly!

Scientists believe that maybe figuring out the secret when it comes to humans, could be this.

Aging is measured using the epigenetic clock, which tracks DNA methylation changes. Jewel wasps are the best test subjects and next to humans because their functional DNA methylation system is similar to us.

The study shows that early-life environmental conditions can permanently influence aging. The slowdown is linked to key biological pathways, including insulin and nutrient sensing.

First real proof that aging speed can be tweaked by timing!
