This year, Khairul Aming (KA) outdid itself by organizing a spectacular five-day vacation for its 100 staff members in Kuala Lumpur, described as the most vibrant company trip to date. Shared through a lively social media post, the fully sponsored getaway allowed employees to relax and bond without spending a single cent, as KA provided pocket money for all.
The group stayed at the luxurious 5-star Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur, featuring spacious suites with kitchens and living rooms. From the rooftop, staff enjoyed breathtaking views of the iconic KLCC buildings, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. To ensure everyone could fully participate, KA temporarily closed factory operations for the duration of the trip.
"As usual, every time we have a company trip, we don't let the staff spend even a single cent. So, all staff will get pocket money to use or buy anything," KA explained, highlighting the company's commitment to employee appreciation.
The vacation began in style with a luxurious dinner on the first night, where staff savored authentic Japanese A5 wagyu beef at a high-end restaurant. For many, it was their first taste of this delicacy. "They've never eaten wagyu before. Tonight, we treated them and spent tens of thousands of ringgit on dinner, but it was absolutely worth it," KA shared, delighted by the team's excitement.
The following days were filled with diverse activities across the Klang Valley. A highlight was a visit to Splash Mania water park, made even better by the weekday timing. "The best part is we went on a weekday, a working day. So, there weren't many people at the water park. We could enjoy it to the fullest," KA noted. The group also explored Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, enjoying a boat ride on the lake and feeding hippos.
KA arranged two exclusive Hop-On Hop-Off buses for a two-hour tour of Kuala Lumpur's landmarks, adding a fun twist to the itinerary. Other activities included:
Go-karting
VR games
Indoor games
A visit to Aquaria KLCC
At Aquaria, the staff encountered a group of primary school kids, some of whom were fans of KA's cooking videos. "The cute thing was many of them thought only aunties watched my videos," KA said with a chuckle.
The team also enjoyed shopping at The Exchange TRX and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. KA ensured the trip remained work-free, stating, "I didn't want to hold any group activities or work discussions during the staff vacation." This focus on relaxation fostered stronger team connections.
Coinciding with KA's birthday, the trip took on special significance. Reflecting on his team, KA expressed heartfelt gratitude: "Having good staff is the best birthday gift KA has ever received. Thank you for everything." This sentiment underscored the deep appreciation he has for his employees' dedication.
