Did he or didn't he? Well folks, Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron has finally shut down those rumours about his shocking "jaw surgery" that went wild all over social media in April 2021. 

  
The High School Musical alum garnered buzz last year after looking noticeably "off" in a clip of him spreading an awareness for Earth Day. As Efron's widely known for his chiselled jawline, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the difference. 

So, what really happened? He actually slipped and shattered his chin, AT HOME. 

  
The star has now opened up about the nasty ordeal to the Men's Health Magazine, whereby he claimed to have slipped on a pair of socks while running at home, before landing on a granite fountain which shattered his chin. The horrifying fall left Efron with his chin bone hanging off his face!

As a result, he was forced to undergo physical therapy, as the masseter muscles had grown larger than normal in his face and jaw.
