Hangzhou, China - Malaysia has clinched its inaugural gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, thanks to the remarkable performance of sailor Nur Shazrin Abdul Latiff, who secured the top spot in the ILCA 6 sailing competition at the prestigious Xiangshan Sailing Centre on Wednesday, September 27th.


Nur Shazrin Abdul Latiff, a 25-year-old sailing sensation, displayed exceptional prowess as she navigated through 11 challenging races, ultimately amassing a net total of 25 points. This outstanding achievement marked her triumphant debut gold medal in the esteemed Asian Games.
