Instant noodles is everyone's guilty pleasure, it taste so good, choosing it as a meal often, isn't hard.

Alas, while your mind and senses love it, based on Science there's a long list of reasons why your body unfortunately, hates it.

From nostalgia and price, to convenience and emotion, instant noodles is really that girl.

However, the health benefits in one serving of it is almost non-existent, and in the long-run, there can be some serious repercussions from substituting a balanced diet, with this.

As a matter of fact, instant noodles are packed with sodium, in just one small packet.

The high salt content in it can lead to increased blood pressure, and other cardiovascular problems. Besides that, they also have no fiber, protein or essential vitamins.

A study from South Korea, (famous for its instant noodle consumption), highlighted that if you have instant noodles multiple times a week, there's a higher chance you develop metabolic syndrome.

This condition is a cluster of symptoms that increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.

The study also noted that the long-term side effects affect women more so due to hormonal factors.

This isn't to say that instant noodles are a complete no-no. You're still allowed to indulge every once in awhile, as long as you're doing so in moderation.

On top of that, there are also ways to make the noodles more nutritional like adding in vegetables for fiber and vitamins or adding in egg or cooked chicken for protein.

Concluding tip: Enjoy in moderation, don't make it a staple meal, add in nutrition.
