A young man assaulted his mother on Tuesday (Apr 21) after she brought her the chili they ate at lunch. 

The incident started when the victim, 44, did not bring the newly-pickled chili that her 22-year-old asked for during dinner. He started to show irritation at this point and went to eat alone in the living room. The victim tried to talk to him but he was irritated again. He even broke the plates and shouted at her. 

His younger brother who lives nearby heard the shouting and came to the house immediately, trying to stop him. However, the angry young man unexpectedly hit his mother at her back.

Later that night, when he was cooking at 11pm in the kitchen, he broke plates again, prompting the mother to call the police as she suspected that he was under the influence of meth.

 According to Lahad Datu District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor, the suspects’s drug came back positive.

The police are investigating the case.
