The Ampang-Sri Petaling LRT service is experiencing delays owing to the placement of cracks in the main pillar and alignment track issues near the Bandaraya station.
Rapid KL reported in a statement that early inspections revealed that the LRT delay was caused by damage to the flyover structure as a result of construction activities nearby.
They have chosen to close the route between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya stations until safety and soundness can be assured.
Trains from Putra Heights will be redirected to Plaza Rakyat, while trains from Sentul Timur will be rerouted to Bandaraya.
According to RapidKL, free shuttle services are also available between the Hang Tuah, Bandaraya, and Sentul Timur stations.
