Bullet Journal Ideas: What To Write In Your Bullet Journal

Bullet journaling, also known as bujo, is something that has gained some momentum lately, especially when people are having more and more time on their hands due to the pandemic. We've shared about bullet journal Instagram profiles for design inspirations before, but designing and customizing it is only half of the fun. The other half lies in actually using it and filling it up. If you're ever at a lost on what to write in your bullet journals, here are some things you can try!

1. Daily Journal

As the name suggests, a bujo should be a journal detailing your day to day experiences. Diary writers back in the day know how interesting it actually is to look back at a diary entry and recall some of the best and worst memories they've had. Not only that, you can also take the opportunity to reflect on your day (which is a form of meditation) while journaling.

2. Organizer

Part of your bujo can be dedicated to a calendar, which will allow you to schedule your appointments, from an evening date to a job interview. This way, you will reduce your chances of accidentally overbooking yourself on the same day or miss an important meeting.

3. To-Do-List

It could be a to-do-list for a day if you woke up feeling ambitious. It could be a to-do-list for a project you are handling at your job, with clear deadlines to meet. It could also be your New Year's resolutions for a brand new year. The possibilities are endless as long as your goals are too!

4. Learning Journal

You could dedicate a portion of your bujo to random things that you've picked up and would like to remind yourself of. For example, you might have learned something after finish a movie, write that down. Maybe you just read a paragraph in a book that is totally reliable, write that down. Perhaps you saw a recipe on TV that you'd like to try some day, write that down!

5. Budgeting

As we grow up, our personal finance plays an important role in our lives. Budgeting is a key component in helping us save more money for our future and it can all be done with pen and paper (and a lot of color). No need for complicated excel sheets or apps, you can plan your budget and record all your expenses right in your bullet journal!

6. Entertainment

Finally, if you have too many empty pages left, just use it for anything that comes to mind. Feel like drawing your own comic? Sure! Have an inspiration or a business idea? Fantastic! If you bring your bujo with you while travelling, try to draw your favorite spot or just write down what you were listening to at that time.

Your bullet journal content is only limited by your own imagination. The ultimate goal here is to feel good about journaling. Everyone has their own unique methods so if following someone else's bujo ideas seem too hard, then so be it. You do you, and make your bujo yours!
