But instead of being a place for reflection and respect, it's now surrounded by litter. Plastic cups, bottles, and food containers clutter its steps, a disrespectful sight considering the sacrifices of those memorialized.

In a video posted by the netizen, rubbish can be seen floating in the sea by the Esplanade, The sight of rubbish floating in the sea nearby serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for action.
