Malaysians Pray For Safety Of Volunteers Detained By Israeli Forces

Based on recent reports, the Sumud Flotilla, (vessels on a humanitarian initiative to Gaza) has been intercepted by Israeli forces, and Malaysians on said vessels have been announced to have been taken hostage.

Since then, many Malaysians back home here have taken to social media to show their support and pray for the safe return of our fellow citizens.

From big names like Siti Nurhaliza, Khairul Aming, Bella Astillah as well as lay people, everyone is coming together in the hopes of reconnecting with our bravest citizens.

Those who have been taken hostage have also called out to PM Anwar for help, and our Prime Minister has not only condemned Israel's interception as an assault on a peaceful humanitarian response, but also reaffirmed the country that he would do what needs to be done (legal and diplomatic) to ensure those taken, will be safe.

Those who were taken includes: singer Zizi Kirana (Nur Fazelah Mad Tahil) on Huga; Musa Nuwayri, Iylia Balqis and Sul Aidil on Alma; Haikal Abdullah, Muaz Zainal, Zulfadhli Khiduddin and Rusydi Ramli on Sirius.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of them on the ships, as well as every Palestinian out there.

Stay tuned to Goody for more updates on the story.
