Victor Malaysia, the sportswear sponsor for national badminton star Lee Zii Jia, has issued an apology after an upside-down Jalur Gemilang was spotted on his jersey during the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals. 


The incident, which occurred during Lees Group A opening match against Taiwans Chou Tien Chen, sparked criticism from Malaysian fans. 



In a statement posted on X, Victor Malaysia acknowledged the mistake, describing it as an oversight and emphasizing their deep respect for Malaysia and its national symbols. 



The company assured the public that it is reviewing its processes to prevent similar errors in the future. 


Despite the controversy, Lee delivered a strong performance defeating Chou 21-13, 21-15, brining pride to the nation on the global stage.
