What on earth is wrong with people?

Suddenly being physically and verbally attacked by a random stranger can be incredibly traumatic, especially when you haven't provoked the person in any way. Just yesterday, Jessica Sin, a local woman, shared her harrowing experience on social media about how she was verbally assaulted and spat at by a random woman at the Bangsar LRT station.

@jessica_sin I get abused physically and verbally. And a certain group of people still report me as the wrong one and emotionally abuse me now. I don't know what is fairness anymore. Apparently it is right to be abused and the victim is the wrong one for voicing out. Wow what mentality #malaysia #malaysian #abuse #attack #lrt #station #awareness #response #kualalumpur #kl #city #issue #incident #fairness original sound - Jessica Sin

The incident left Jessica in a state of distress as she tried to distance herself from the woman. However, the assaulter persisted, chasing after her while continuing to spit and curse.

It all started when Jessica was about to tap her card at the station to exit, and the woman approached from the opposite direction, wanting to use the same machine. Jessica then decided to step aside and let the woman proceed.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse as the encounter became the beginning of a tragedy for Jessica. The woman started hurling vulgarities at her, even chasing her to the point where an LRT staff had to intervene.

The other woman seemed insistent on not letting the situation go, leaving Jessica puzzled about why there was so much hatred toward her during what should have been a brief encounter. She felt attacked and traumatized to the point that people misunderstood her perspective, accusing her of various things.

Her only response was, "If this is fair, if this is your definition of fair, then I don't know what fairness is anymore, she tearfully stated.

Jessica has also filed a police report regarding the incident.

Here's hoping she recovers soon, and a plea for kindness to strangers not everyone is out to get you, and what could have been a simple passing encounter turned into a horrific incident.
