A heartfelt post recently went viral on Facebook after a ShopeeFood delivery rider, known as Paktam Perus, shared a touching moment he experienced while delivering food to a customer.

According to Paktam, he was left emotional after encountering a woman who had ordered food using the cash on delivery (COD) method but was unaware that she didn't have any cash on hand. When he offered the option of paying via QR code, the woman admitted that she also had no money in her bank account.

As he tried to make sense of the situation, Paktam suddenly heard a child's voice from inside the house.

"Mom, has the food arrived? I'm hungry, Mom."

"Ya Allah, at that moment I felt like my heart dropped and my knees started shaking," he wrote in his post.

The plea from the hungry child touched Paktam deeply. Moved by sympathy and compassion, he decided to pay for the meal himself without expecting anything in return.

"It's okay, I sincerely give it for the sake of this world and the hereafter. Just pray that my family stays healthy and is always blessed with sustenance," he told the woman.

Reflecting on the encounter, Paktam shared how the experience opened his eyes to the struggles of others who are tested in ways he hadn't imagined.

"Along the way, many thoughts crossed my mind. Even with my struggles, there are people who have it worse. That sister must've known she didn't have money. Her child was hungry, maybe this was the only way she could feed him," he said.

He went on to say that the incident served as a reminder for him to always be thankful for what he has.

"This is also a lesson for me to always be grateful with what I have. There are all kinds of things in this world, many different ways Allah SWT tests us."

The post quickly gained traction on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts and expressing admiration for Paktam's generosity.
