The highly anticipated Matrix movie sequel and John Wick: Chapter 4 are scheduled to be in theatres on the same exact day next year, which is the 21 of May, both starring the famous Canadian actor, Keanu Reeves. The bad news is that release dates are subject to change but if they are not changing it, this will be one of the best action movie showdowns for the box office, especially when both movies share the same main actor.
There are even rumors that state John Wick 4 and The Matrix 4 might actually be the same movie after all. Aware of the fact that The Matrix 4 is a science fiction movie, screenwriting a plot twist like this isn't impossible! Keanu told ET that he has read the script of The Matrix 4 and he is piqued with excitement. He commented that the script is very ambitious and we are definitely glad to hear that.
According to Lance Reddick, who plays the concierge of Continental Hotel in the John Wick films named Charon revealed to Comicbook that the script of John Wick 4 is still somehow "in progress" but another problem is that Keanu signed to The Matrix 4 and Bill And Ted so he might be struggling to arrange his time for these 3 different franchise.
